Member, Society of Pediatric Urology

  1. It is unlikely your son will begin to bleed excessively after the procedure. If he does, pinch the top of his penis firmly for five (5) minutes or place ice chips at the tip of the penis.

  2. Call if excessive bleeding.

  3. Squeeze a small amount of antibiotic ointment out of the tube onto urinary opening. Then place the nozzle into opening two (2) times daily. This keeps the urinary opening open. Do this for three (3) weeks.

  4. Child may bathe the next day.
